Superior HDD

Site for a horizontal directional drilling company the client runs themselves

A new website for Superior HDD, a horizontal directional drilling company in Yallah, NSW. It replaces an ageing WordPress site with something modern and fast, built around the company's existing branding.

The client wants to post new work often: finished projects, site photos, equipment and, later, a blog. So almost everything on the site is editable in a hosted Sanity Studio: company details, projects, the gallery, services, plant and equipment, stats, team and values. The pages themselves stay static. When something is published, a signed webhook expires only the content type that changed, so the site is fast to load and updates appear within seconds without a rebuild.

The brief also asked for a proper quote form instead of sending everyone to the contact page. Quotes often come with plans or site drawings, so attachments up to 10 MB upload straight from the browser to Vercel Blob rather than through the server. The form only accepts files from that store, emails a link to the business and deletes the file afterwards, and a daily job clears anything left behind. Both forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a honeypot and length-capped validation.

Old WordPress URLs redirect to their new pages, and the company's JAS-ANZ and ISO certifications sit in the footer. Launch is close.
